I founded Phillip Shaw Ltd out of a desire for higher service standards in property management, leveraging my own experiences as a property enthusiast and landlord. I focus on steering our agency to provide exceptional, honest, and reliable property services, emphasising quality over quantity. I launched this agency in 1995 with my wife and the support of my family, and have turned it into a reputable local firm renowned for its integrity and client-first approach. Our growth has been fuelled by word-of-mouth, highlighting our strong community ties and trusted reputation. Being able to reshape the property service landscape to better serve landlords, tenants,  sellers and buyers gives me immense satisfaction. I thrive on personal interactions and the joy of facilitating successful property deals that benefit all parties involved.

With an established background as a qualified solicitor, I've spent over a decade in private practice, juggling roles that span from intricate management, risk, compliance, to hands-on fee earning and leadership. Here, I use this multifaceted experience to drive growth, forge new client relationships, and unlock fresh opportunities for our estate agency. The thrill of applying my legal and management skills in new contexts and watching our business thrive is immensely satisfying. In my role as a sales negotiator, I focus on brokering deals between buyers and sellers in the property market. I'm dedicated to understanding client needs, negotiating to secure terms that benefit both sides, and ensuring a seamless transaction process. My strengths lie in building strong relationships, clear communication, and achieving goals that support our company's sales targets. The most rewarding part of my role as a sales negotiator is the chance to guide clients towards achieving their property ambitions, all while ensuring they have a great experience along the way. Whether it's aiding buyers in discovering their ideal home or supporting sellers through the market's complexities, the joy comes from making a significant, positive difference in their journeys. In my role as a letting consultant, I focus on guiding clients to find the ideal rental properties that meet their specific needs and preferences. I work closely with landlords, property owners, and tenants to ensure smooth transactions, managing everything from property viewings to negotiating rental terms and handling essential paperwork. My goal is to streamline the rental process, ensuring both landlords and tenants are satisfied, while also contributing to our company's objectives by building a robust network of clients, staying informed on industry trends, and providing outstanding customer service. What motivates me most in my job is the satisfaction of helping clients find their ideal rental property and facilitating smooth transactions. I find fulfilment in understanding the unique needs of each client and matching them with properties that meet their criteria. Additionally, I'm driven by the opportunity to innovate within the letting consultancy field, constantly seeking new ways to enhance the client experience and improve outcomes for both landlords and tenants. ‘Every day is an opportunity disguised as a challenge’

I have a strong passion for property and have experience as both a landlady and in property management, along with a stint as a freelance administrator. This diverse background has drawn me to join Phillip Shaw, where I'm eager to deepen my understanding of the property sector. I'm a big fan of property shows like "Homes under the Hammer" and "Amazing Spaces," which fuel my enthusiasm.
